Anila Kanna, MD
Dr. Anila Kanna is a Pediatric Neurologist. Dr Kanna was born and raised in India. She obtained her medical degree from Guntur Medical College which is one of the prestigious institutions in India. Dr Kanna completed her 2 year Pediatrics residency from Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit and continued to stay at the same institution to finish her 3 years of Pediatric Neurology residency.
Dr. Kanna is passionate about pediatrics and specifically neurological disorders in children. She is dedicated towards patient care, medical education and research. She has presented and published case reports and research projects. She has mentored numerous medical students and residents, and received the Excellence in Teaching Award from Wayne State University School of Medicine.
Dr. Kanna is interested in establishing Pediatric Neurology care, where children of all age groups with all general neurological conditions can get appropriate medical attention. She enjoys working with children and their families. Dr Kanna believes that knowledge of the medical conditions can increase compliance to treatment and thereby improving outcomes. She also believes that patient and family satisfaction is important in addition to appropriate medical care.
Dr. Kanna is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Epilepsy Society.
